Shady Business

It is very weird, if not bad business that no one on your social media team, manager, publicist or even yourself gets off their asses or responds to reports of an imposter or fraudulent account of a fake person using xyz celebrities name to obtain: your confidential customer or fan information, solicit gifts, meet up with fans, gossip, etc. People understand xyz is not going to manage their own social media but your manager should be shutting fake accounts down that put your customers at risk. When your representatives respond on your behalf they need to identify themselves: Xyz Customer Service, Xyz Social Media Manager, Xyz Personal Assistant, Xyz Manager, Xyz shady family member, drag queen, look alike, cousin, etc. If Xyz has people using their customer databases to solicit other businesses, they need to be identified as such to prevent brand confusion: Widgets endorsed by Xyz celebrity. Tricking people into believing they are communicating with Xyz celebrity when management has been made aware of the problem, that it may be the creepy cousin, psycho ex stalking boyfriend from high school or the brother Rob Wunderman disguised as a chick named Linda Campbell stealing Xyz’s identify is wrong. Unless all the above prefer to be fired or prosecuted for fraud. Clean that unethical crap up cause it is bad for business.
