My mother is a fucking cunt and I hate her. I have done nothing but be kind and tried my hardest to facilitate the relationship. Well I am older now, and not a people pleaser anymore. I gave boundaries and they were broken time and again. So I went no contact. Unfortunately legal matters make me have to be in contact again, and the first email I get is demanding and abusive.
I’m not doing this anymore. I am worth more than that. Having such a nice quiet year of not being mocked or asked to clean her house…it’s been so relaxing. I have been doing more stuff I enjoy and have self confidence. If you are thinking of cutting off a parent, this is your sign. Do it. You can’t imagine the peace.
