I live outside of St Louis in Illinois. (You won’t be able to identity me from that tidbit.) The area is racially mixed, black and white. Several nights each week I go for long walks between 1 and 4 AM. I see lots of cops out patrolling during those hours. They never bother me, and I suspect that’s because I’m an older white guy. I *do* see them stop and question black men who are out at the same time. Ironically, though, it’s me they should be harassing. I often let my genitals hang out of my pants. I stop and urinate wherever I like. I’ve even been known to drop trou and masturbate. I’ve pulled parcels out of the UPS drop box, and I’ve tried to get into the FedEx and USPS boxes as well. I should be arrested for all of this, but, like I said, the cops give me a free pass. If a single cop ever stopped me and questioned me, I would gladly confess to everything. But I know they never will.
